Forbes Türkiye, one of the most prestigious publications in the business and economy world, extensively covered ESKA Valve, the developer of Türkiye’s first domestic and nationally developed smart ultrasonic natural gas meter, highlighting the company’s energy efficiency efforts, domestic R&D infrastructure, and strategic vision in global markets.

The strategic transformation taking place across the global and national energy sectors, with a focus on digitalization, efficiency, and security of supply, continues to attract the attention of leading business and economic publications worldwide. In a special report, the internationally renowned business and economics magazine Forbes Türkiye highlighted the pioneering role of ESKA Valve, which introduced smart natural gas metering technology to Türkiye and elevated this technology to an internationally competitive level through domestic R&D.

The Forbes Türkiye report emphasized ESKA Valve’s ability to develop all critical components of its meter technology under one roof at its 30,000-square-meter production campus, from sensor technologies and communication modules to software infrastructure and smart valve systems. It noted that the company’s R&D program, launched in 2019, has evolved into Türkiye’s first domestic and nationally developed smart ultrasonic natural gas meter. The report also detailed our ecosystem, which reduces external dependency and strengthens domestic digital energy infrastructure through an export network reaching 60 countries.

The report also highlighted the critical role of smart meters in next-generation energy management. Particular attention was given to the importance of real-time consumption monitoring, remote gas activation and shut-off functionality, two-way communication, and advanced safety infrastructure provided by our ultrasonic natural gas meters. The report focused on the strategic multiplier effect created by ESKA Valve’s domestic production in the smart meter market, which is estimated at $50–70 billion globally and approximately $3 billion in Türkiye.

Forbes Türkiye also highlighted the average 7% savings potential offered by smart meter usage, stating that this transformation at the Türkiye-wide scale could mean 1.3 billion cubic meters less natural gas imports annually and approximately €2 billion remaining in the Turkish economy over three years.

The report noted that ESKA Valve has positioned itself as a development hub for digital energy technologies in Türkiye through its engineering, R&D, and simulation infrastructure. It further stated that the company’s data-driven and AI-supported domestic technologies directly contribute to Türkiye’s 2053 net-zero emissions target while supporting its continued growth in global markets.
