ESKA Valve’s Smart Ultrasonic Natural Gas Meter Featured in Tesisat Magazine

Tesisat Magazine, one of the leading publications in the industry, devoted extensive coverage in its March 2026 issue to our smart ultrasonic natural gas meter, developed through an R&D investment of approximately TRY 200 million, and our vision for the digitalization of energy infrastructure.

Tesisat Magazine, a leading publication covering the climate, HVAC, plumbing, and energy sectors, featured ESKA Valve’s position in the natural gas industry and its measurement technologies in the “News” section of its March 2026 issue.

Published under the headline “A New Era in Energy Infrastructure with ESKA Smart Ultrasonic Natural Gas Meters,” the article highlighted that, in response to increasing global energy demand, carbon reduction targets, energy security, and efficiency policies, digitalization has become a strategic necessity for the energy sector.

The article emphasized that ESKA Valve, operating in the field of regulation and measurement equipment for the natural gas industry, represents a new stage in measurement technologies in Türkiye with its smart ultrasonic natural gas meter developed as a result of an R&D investment of approximately TRY 200 million.

The key evaluations and technical details of our meter featured in Tesisat Magazine were presented as follows:

  • Advantages of Ultrasonic Measurement Technology: Unlike conventional mechanical meters, the ultrasonic measurement infrastructure contains no moving parts and calculates gas flow based on differences in the transit time of sound waves. This method provides high accuracy, long-lasting and stable performance, and low maintenance requirements. The article noted that maintaining measurement accuracy, particularly at low flow rates, is critical for preventing revenue losses over the long term.
  • Advanced Communication Features: Our smart ultrasonic meter integrates remote reading, two-way communication, remote gas opening and closing, alarm monitoring, and mobile/web-based monitoring capabilities. Thanks to its NB-IoT and GPRS-based communication infrastructure, consumption and alarm data can be securely transmitted to central systems.
  • Contribution of Digitalization to Network Management: The article stated that smart meters serve as data sources in the field, enabling consumption analysis through real-time data generation, faster detection of losses and unauthorized consumption, fewer processes requiring operational intervention, and improved billing accuracy. This structure, which reduces operational costs for distribution companies, also provides a robust data infrastructure for energy management systems and AI-based analytical applications.
  • Energy Efficiency and National-Scale Impact: The article emphasized that international field studies and pilot applications have shown smart natural gas meters to have a direct impact on user behavior, increasing awareness of energy savings and achieving savings rates ranging from 3% to 35%, with an average energy efficiency potential of around 7%. From a Türkiye-specific perspective, the article stated that an improvement at this level could serve as a strategic tool contributing to reduced gas imports, a lower current account deficit, and reduced carbon emissions.

We continue to contribute to the digitalization of natural gas infrastructure by being featured in industry publications with our innovative products and R&D achievements.
